The Greater Ozarks International Trade Association, (GOITA) and the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce are working together to create opportunities for growth in our region. Employers and entrepreneurs considering the possibility of exporting, or increasing sales by growing international trade relationships will want to attend the February 15, 2012 GOITA meeting featuring John Blum from the US Small Business Administration and Joe Sala, President and CEO of International Division, Inc. (INDIV Inc.).
“We are pleased to announce that John Blum will be in Springfield to share insight and information regarding international based loan programs to encourage growth and profitability.”, said Jeannette Fitzpatrick, President of GOITA. Mr. Blum is a Regional International Solutions Manager representing the U.S. Small Business Administration. He is located at the U.S. Export Assistance Center (USEAC) in St. Louis, MO. Mr. Blum covers 4 states that include: Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Mr. Blum is responsible for administering the SBA’s Export Loan Programs, which include the Export Working Capital Loan Program, the International Trade Loan Program, and the Export Express Program.
“Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about International Division, Inc. (INDIV Inc.) from Joe Sala, President and the CEO”, said Jeannette Fitzpatrick, GOITA President. International Division, Inc. exports and manufactures an array of poultry farming equipment to customers primarily in Mexico, South America and parts of Asia and Russia. International Division, Inc. partners with manufacturers to sell incubation, feeding and ventilation systems for poultry operations as well as prefabricated buildings and grain storage silos. Mr. Sala has been with the company for more than 30 years. He is fluent in Spanish and has a rich professional experience in poultry industry and its trends and cooperates with a variety of companies in over 35 countries around the world.
Mr. Blum and Mr. Sala will discuss opportunities and ideas that will be of interest to regional businesses and entrepreneurs interested in expanding their business at the GOITA meeting scheduled for February 15, 2012. Luncheon meeting begins at 11:30 AM, followed by a presentation beginning at noon at the Tower Club -West Main Dining Room, located on the 20th Floor of the Hammons Tower, 901 E. St. Louis Street, Springfield, MO.
